I got in my car to pick up a bargain deal at BIG LOTS. A Radio, CD, iPod or MP3 player for only $28.00!
While driving to my destination, I saw a FABULOUS GOLDEN OLDIE driving a shiny, blue, low-riding sports car; sitting at a traffic light. She had White Hair, and Big, Bright Red, Lipsticked Lips! I had to SMILE and Laugh Out Loud in SALUTE to this woman! I don’t know if I could have gotten into that vehicle! I had to applaud her, in my mind, as I passed her and drove down the road!
This woman knows how to LIVE!
When I got to BIG LOTS, I gave the SALVATION ARM Red Kettle Collection Attendant – ringing her bell steadily – a BIG VERY GOOD! VERY GOOD! YEAH! cheer! She got a big smile on her face, under her wool cap and scarf.
I had put my clown nose on to give the volunteer her cheer, as I entered the store. When I got into the store, I joked with a few customers. I put my clown nose on, got their attention, and said: ‘OK! NO CLOWNING AROUND, NOW! Luckily, I got a laugh or smile in return!
After I picked up my BARGAIN DEAL, I headed over to get gasoline for my car. The store where I shop, GIANTS, gives points towards a percentage off gasoline. I was thrilled, because I had reached twenty cents off per gallon!
At the gas pump, another GOLDIE OLDIE woman pulled up to the other side of the gas pump I was using. She ALSO, had a VERY NICE, YOUTHFUL car! These women knew how to live and DRIVE THEMSELVES HAPPY!
When she got out, I peaked around the gas pump, with my clown nose on, and said: ‘OK! NO CLOWNING AROUND, NOW!’
She was so SHARP, she said she had ALREADY noticed my LIVE LIFE! LAUGH OFTEN! magnetic bumper sticker noting LAFOLOT.com.
I told her I really liked her jacket, scarf and hat. They were celery green, very youthful in style, and looked really great on her. She thanked me with a smile, and told me this story: ‘When my husband died, last year, I went to a thrift store and FOUND THIS JACKET SCARF AND HAT for a really low price! I just KNEW it was my husband helping me out!’
I told her I was sure that was the case! I also joked that he wanted her to save money, as well as be a smart shopper and savvy dresser! ha ha
When I got home, I stopped at my community mailbox location. Just as I pulled up with my car, a BEAUTIFUL TURKEY VULCHER was flying not 6 feet above my head. It was AMAZING! Native Americans see the turkey vulcher as THE GOLDEN PURIFIER. They share their food with other birds, and clean away dead carcasses, never eating their own.
So, from GOLDEN OLDIES who know how to LIVE IT UP no matter their age; to GOLDEN PURIFIERS who have the right idea, HA HA Helen was seeing a lot of GOLDEN OPPORTUNITIES while out and about!
